Privacy commitment
Purpose first. Data kept responsible.

We aim to collect only information needed for a stated purpose, use it responsibly, protect it with appropriate safeguards and retain it only as long as required for the applicable purpose or obligation.

Please read this policy before submitting personal information.

This website is being developed as a connected public and administrative platform. Some features described below may become active only after the corresponding backend, payment, email and document systems are deployed.

Privacy Policy

Your information, used responsibly.

Divyashakti Bhagwat Welfare Foundation ("Foundation", "we", "us" or "our") respects the privacy of people who visit this website and interact with our digital services. This policy describes our intended approach to handling personal information through the website and connected services.

1. Who we are

Divyashakti Bhagwat Welfare Foundation is a Section 8 non-profit company registered in Maharashtra, India. The website is used to provide information about the Foundation and, as relevant features are activated, to receive communications, volunteer applications, partnership enquiries, donations and other submissions.

2. Information we may collect

Depending on the feature you use, information may include:

  • Contact information: name, email address and mobile number.
  • Enquiry information: organisation details, message content, interests and other information you choose to provide.
  • Volunteer information: application details and supporting information required for the volunteer process.
  • Donation information: donor name, contact information, donation amount, selected purpose and transaction references.
  • Technical information: browser, device, approximate network information, timestamps, security logs and similar technical data where required for operating and securing the website.
  • Communications: copies or records of messages you send to us or receive from us through our digital systems.

We do not intend to publish private personal information submitted through forms simply because it was collected internally. Public document libraries are designed for approved public records, not private KYC files.

3. Why we use personal information

We may use information for purposes such as:

  • responding to enquiries and requests;
  • processing volunteer, partnership or other applications;
  • processing donations and maintaining donation records;
  • generating and delivering transaction or donation receipts;
  • providing updates you have requested;
  • maintaining, securing and improving website and administrative services;
  • preventing fraud, abuse, unauthorised access or other security incidents; and
  • meeting applicable legal, regulatory, accounting or record-keeping requirements.

5. Donations and payment processing

When the donation system becomes active, payments will be processed through the Foundation's configured payment gateway, currently planned as Razorpay. Payment credentials and sensitive gateway secrets will be handled server-side and will not be placed in public webpage code.

The Foundation's systems may retain donation records such as Donation ID, amount, payment status, gateway order/payment references, timestamps, receipt number and receipt-delivery status. Card, UPI or other payment authentication data is intended to remain with the payment provider and should not be collected unnecessarily by the Foundation's website.

6. Volunteer and partnership information

Volunteer and partnership workflows may collect additional information needed to assess and manage an application or enquiry. The exact fields will depend on the final workflow.

Sensitive identity documents, where collection is legally or operationally necessary, should be handled through controlled and private storage with restricted administrative access. Such material should not be placed in a public WordPress media library or public document section.

7. Storage and security

The Foundation's website and future administrative platform are designed as separate layers. Public WordPress pages are not intended to have direct access to private archive storage.

The planned administration architecture may use Hostinger for online production services and a private Foundation archive system for long-term storage and backup. Appropriate technical and organisational safeguards should be applied to protect information against unauthorised access, loss, alteration or disclosure.

No internet-based service can be guaranteed to be completely secure. We therefore aim to use reasonable security controls appropriate to the type and sensitivity of information involved.

8. Retention of information

We intend to keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, for legitimate operational needs, or where retention is required or permitted by applicable law.

Certain organisational, accounting, transaction, receipt, audit or compliance records may need to be retained for longer periods. Temporary processing files and unnecessary operational copies may be removed according to the Foundation's retention procedures.

9. Sharing and service providers

We may use trusted service providers that process information on our behalf when needed to operate the website and its connected systems. Examples may include hosting, payment processing, transactional email, security, analytics or technical infrastructure providers.

Information should be shared only to the extent reasonably necessary for the relevant purpose and subject to appropriate contractual, technical or organisational safeguards where applicable.

10. Your privacy rights

Depending on applicable law and the circumstances of processing, you may have rights relating to access, correction, withdrawal of consent, grievance or other rights concerning your personal information.

To ask a privacy-related question or submit a request, contact the Foundation using the details below. We may need sufficient information to verify the requester's identity before acting on certain requests.

11. Children and guardian information

Some Foundation activities may involve children or young people. Where a digital workflow is intended for minors, the Foundation should use an appropriate guardian/parent process and should avoid collecting more personal information than is reasonably necessary for the stated purpose.

12. Cookies, analytics and third-party content

The website may use essential cookies or similar technologies needed for security, preferences, forms, session functionality or other core operations. Additional analytics, embedded media or similar services may introduce their own technologies and policies.

As those services are added, the Foundation should update this policy and, where required, provide the appropriate notice or consent controls.

13. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when our website, services, data practices or applicable requirements change. The latest version will be published on this page with an updated effective date and version number.

Important note

This webpage is intended as the Foundation's website privacy policy and should be reviewed against the final technical implementation, applicable contracts and current legal requirements before the website's production data-collection systems are activated.

Designed for the future platform

Privacy controls should be part of the system.

The Foundation's planned website, Hostinger admin platform and private archive should work together so that public pages never need direct access to private records.

01Purpose-based collection

Collect fields for a clear and documented operational purpose.

02Restricted access

Keep sensitive applications and documents outside public media libraries.

03Retention controls

Remove unnecessary temporary copies while preserving records that must be retained.

04Auditability

Maintain relevant logs and status history for important administrative actions.
